You think our words are inscrutable? How about our economics? Samosapedia gives the proverbial money garland and enthu cutlet award to the brains behind Arthapedia, a government website aimed at demystifying economic terms in India: Check it out here:

Remember mugging up those five year plans in civics class? This website is where you go if you need your five year plan fix. Entries on the site range from the ridiculous (see the Gadgil-Mukherjee Formula where "7.5%" weight is given to "special problems") to the sublime (check out Guillotine, has nothing to do with cutting heads or 'Qyoo for Qyoooon's)

The irony is that the the site is quite obtuse and inaccessible with lots of officialese. People have reacted by saying that the site should be re-christened "Orthopedia." Perhaps because it looks and feels more like a sick child than a healthy adult? That said, let a hundred pedias bloom...

"Arthapedia was formally launched on 29 August 2011 by the Honourable Finance Minister of India Shri. Pranab Mukherjee on the occasion of the inauguration of Golden Jubilee function and celebrations of Indian Economic Service"
