Every year after board examination results come out, all colleges come out with a cutoff for various courses for students to apply to. If a student has achieved more than or equal to the cutoff, he/she has a definite chance to get admission into that college.

For example, this year one of the best colleges in the country - Shri Ram College of Commerce - came out out with a 100% cutoff for science students, which is practically insane!

Usage

Mother: This year cutoff for SRCC is 100%. Our rinku only got 99.75% If only she had maxed her eco paper!
