Specifically a 3-minute jiggle-wiggle 'dance' performed by a scantily clad woman in nearly every 70s or 80s Indian film, to the accompaniment of Western-style 'cabaret song', watched by heartbroken hero who has come to the club/bar to drown his sorrows. During that era, also performed live in some Delhi bars by chubby women with suspiciously Malayali features (and sometimes accessorised with leather) while very expensive, watery drinks were forced on the customers by thuggish waiters.

Usage

'Who is your favourite Hindi cabaret dancer?'
'Helen is the best. Have you seen her 'Piya tu Ab toh Aaja' cabaret in 'Caravan'?
'Chee. Helen is like an auntie. Jayashree T is best, then Meena T.'
