ROAD TERM - Used on LORRIES/ TRUCKS

Common phrase painted on many lorries/ trucks - usually in fancy script or arty looking design - meaning the vehicle is # 1 on road.

Often their smoke belching lorries were so overloaded or moved forward but at an angle (result of some previous accident). Drivers drove with one hand on horn.

Seemed to have been a favourite of lorry drivers/ cleaners/ owners/ painters to paint this phrase on front bumper or rear bumper.

Usage

KING OF THE ROAD - Sign on thousands of lorries/ trucks/ some buses

Usage

"thaatha, yeradu kings", whilst placing Rs.20 on the plastic lid of a mentos dabba
thaatha places 2 fags on the lid and offers you a strip of cigarette box to light your fag from a perennially burning oil lamp.
