Definition

Karma Gora is the term given to white people who come to India on a spiritual quest. They typically fetishize some trite and superficial aspect of Indian culture and "find themselves" at the end of their India trip.

The term might have been inspired by Karma Cola, a book by Gita Methta that pokes fun at the wave of Westerners that descended upon India in the 60s.

Usage

He is a typical Karma Gora. Had an "existential crisis" in New York and is now roaming around Varanasi with bata shoes, a robe and a copy of maharishi yogi.
