A borderline pejorative for men with a hirsute countenance, carries a much more palpable effect if used on those with dark shaggy beards, or long flowing beards. Doesn't quite apply to wispy beards or sporty goatees. Kids of the family are terrified of being around a dadhiyal, a fact that mean uncles derive immense pleasure from by catching hold of and rubbing their abrasive prickle pad all over the innocent horrified cheeks of their unsuspecting nephews and nieces.

Usage

Mom: Ram, go do your homework.
Ram: No maa, . I will do it later,I want to go play cricket now.
Mom: You wan't me to call Dadhiyal mama?
Ram: OK OK. I'll do my homework!
