"Nirai kudam thalumbathu" - its a popular saying in tamil. It is translated in Ingleesh like this ->"Empty vessel makes more noise". When a stainless steel or aluminium vessel used in kitchen is dropped down on a hard surface it produces an attractive sound which usually irritates everybody around. The term empty vessel used here indirectly points a person who shouts with all his might without any serious issue.

Usage

A teacher enters the class which is noisy. The environment becomes appreciably silent. Now the teacher screams at the students
