Apparently being in the military and meat eating is highly correlated for Tamilians, how else do you explain the name. You will also find a slate board with the Words "Meals Ready" make its appearance twice a day "bang outside" the restaurant, at which time tens of folks in lungis and banians can be found making a beeline for hot military meals.
