The definitive guide to South Asian lingo

Bheem from Mahabhartha is a raging bull and this was the oft-used phrase by Yudhishtra to placate his brother in the TV version of the Mahabhartha. He would carry a gada (mace) and hence gadadhari :) Eyes glued to the TV, this soap opera was perhaps the most watched opera in the history of India. Such an impression has it left on us 70-80 born desis that this phrase has its own place when talking to an angry friend.

Yaar saale ki tang tod doonga!
Shant gadadhari bheem shant, woh bhi mauka milega.
