Definition

Used in gully cricket, a trial ball is bowled before the actual first ball of a match. It, however, has been used more that often as a means to escape a first ball dismissal. A trial ball, if actually bowled, is followed by 'All Reals'.

Usage

Bowler: Dey!! Catch It! Catch it! Yeeeeee!
Batsman: Ey! That was a trial ball da! Ey please da! Trial Ball da!
