A candidate who fights an election just to undermine another candidate's prospects. Normally these candidates are propped up by opposition parties to cut into the other candidates vote bank. These candidates are proxy candidates of political parties who want to undermine other candidates by diverting their oppositions votes to minor candidates of same castes or religions or names.
