The actual proverb is : "To catch a mountain take a hair and sling it; if you succeed you get the mountain; if you lose you lose just a hair" Which means to make an attempt however trivial. This may also be used to make a zero risk attempt.

Usage

summa exam yeyudhu; vandha malai pona mayiru (when said to someone who is not so interested in the exam and would not have take it anyway)...

summa employment exchange la padhivu sayyu; vandha malai..pona ...
