The word Sorpotel is derived from the konkani word Soro which means Alcohol/Liquor. Sorpotel is a Goan Delicacy made from pork liver, pork and butter. It can be served with Sannas. This is a "hot and sour" dish from the Goa on the Western coast of India. The cuisine of this region is in part influenced by the Portugese.
I went to The Fernandez house in Panjim for Sorpotel and Sannas. They were delicious though pig liver isin't usually my most favorite dish.
