The ubiquitous snack bar found all over India. pronounced as snake so often that owners have decided, what the heck, I may as well listen to the junta and started painting their signboards the same way.
May have a completely different meaning in China or Southeast Asia, but Indian snake bars serve the more innocuous varieties - tea, ITC, glucose biscuits etc.
Many years ago the National Association of Self-Employed Youth created a program to grant these bars to youth across the country and the NAESEY Snack Bar or the Noisy Snake Bar was born giving rise to visions of the Mos Eisley Cantina in Star Wars
