The definitive guide to South Asian lingo

Definition 1 of 1

Definition

The basic things a person would like to have to live a respectful life - food to eat, clothes to wear and a place to live in.
Back in the 70's when the licence raj was still in vogue, the aam admi it siims were just looking for food, clothes and shelter. Politically overused by the kurta pajama wearing class to get some of the sweet votes and other factors.

On a side note, it is tragic that most people in the country still don't have or can't afford the three aforementioned things.

Usage

Neta on a stage - Give me your vote and i will give you roti kapda makan!

Audience claps and waves their partys flag.
