Definition

Queue or Q is the reverential, single-file approach to the Bevco. It is said that Kerala was an egalitarian society that eschewed rank and class during the reign of King Mahabali. Remnants of this noble ideal in the social subconscious is visibly expressed at the Bevco queue. Comrade and congressman, employer and headload union worker, priest and sheep, young and old - all keep well ordered queue, come monsoon or sunshine, waiting patiently for their OCRs wrapped in Manoramas.

Usage

Sign outside all Bevcos: "Q" paalikkuka (Observe queue)

"A Malayalee tippler, even if he is alone, forms an orderly queue of one outside a Bevco." - St. Tony of Kurisingal

"Henceforth all Malayalee drinkers shall keep a Q in public view to satiate their vile cravings" - Edict of St. Antony of Cherthala, circa 1996
