Definition

Middle class Indian kids of the '70s & '80s heard this phrase so often from their parents, their ears just shriveled up & fell off.

Usually serves as a good start to a severe finger-waggin' lecture; works great as its culmination too. Especially if you made the mistake of confessing that you lost your pencil/ eraser/ waterbottle/white shoes/name badge in school.

And *shuddderrr*. God help you if you say you want to BUY something. Yabba!

Usage

Gautam: Ma, i need new shoes. Mine are small for me..
