It refers to the Machiavellian act of selectively studying for a board exam, by skipping chapters that are a botheration and you're sure will have an alternative question from a simpler chapter. It is a calculative and strategic act, passed down generations of 12th standard students who wish to do cool things like patao girls instead of differential calculus. It is also occasionally taught by sneaky tuition teachers who have given up on said students.
