One of the more infamous Bangalore goondas of the 80's and 90's. Along with his contemporaries "Chappal" Hamid and "Tarakari" Shakeel he dominated downtown Shivajinagar as a don.

Now used as a generic phrase for any small-time vendor who moonlights as a big-time gangster (or vice versa)

Had a day job as a chicken seller ("Koli" is the Kannada word for chicken), and was known to attack people with a meat cleaver.
