Refers to people of African decent. There are a few African tribes which still survive and maintain their cultural heritage living in the sub continent for over centuries, primarily in areas of Gujarat, Sindh and Karnataka.
Today the community still struggles to go mainstream while the name has taken the connotation that words like kala has.
