Definition

Being quite savvy at using terms from physics textbooks in daily language, desi juntae often use this phrase to indicate that there has been a disruption in electric power supply. Probably comes from early victorian usage when Ampere called a stream of electrons as current and hence our juntae use the term to indicate that there is no more a stream of such electrons in the near vicinity.

Usage

Prashanth: Hi Umesh, ready for the test?
Umesh: What ready, macha. Current went off and I could not study only.
