A posture that involves lying down sideways, with arm resting on the ground, and palm resting on your head. Akin to some well-known images of the semi-fictional Queen Cleopatra of Egypt.

Many male youths can be found lying in this manner in public gardens. Usually they are ogling at females, while munching peanuts (aka kadlai kai) or a similar time-pass snack.

Sometimes male and female youths may be in this pose together, gazing into each other's eyes.

The term has a somewhat pejorative usage.

"All day, you will go there and sit in Cleopatra pose. No shame or what? No girl will marry you!"

"Eating potato wafers and reading story books in Cleopatra pose. How will you not become gundu?"
