PONNERI (TIRUVALLUR): A total of 522 people from 143 families, mainly from Orissa, were rescued from bonded labour at a private brick kiln near Ponneri, some 45 km north of Chennai, by revenue officials and the police on Thursday. Just eight of the rescued 191 men, 203 women and 132 children are from Uttar Pradesh. According to revenue officials, this is the single biggest raid in recent years against bondage in Tiruvallur district,
