Definition

An announcement made in many gully cricket matches just before the bowler bowls his first ball to signal to the batsman that the match has started and that he can stop monkeying around.

Usage

Bowler: "Boldane! Middle-stump!!"
Batsman: "Hey, not out. I thought it was trials ya."
Bowler: "Arrey, I told off in the starting only - all reals!"
Non-striker: "You told the guard aa? Or else it will be no ball."
Bowler: "I told right arm over. Ask the empire."
The empire belonging to the opposite team, strikes back, "Hey you told in the previous over. Not now... NO BALL!"
Bowler, suddenly, "Hey, I didn't say all reals. It is trials ya!"
