The definitive guide to South Asian lingo

Definition 1 of 1

A drink of freshly squeezed lime juice and soda / water. Can be:
1. Salted (so that it bubbles out of your glass when you pour the soda in);
2. Sweet (usually with the sugar syrup annoyingly concentrated at the bottom of the glass); or
3. Sweet & salt (to suit the Indian palate).

Served at almost every Indian restaurant and usually ordered on occasions where alcohol may not be kosher.

Teetotaler Boss: "Bearer! I'll have a fresh lime soda sweet please."
Sheepish Subordinate: "Me too, sweet and salt"
