Privileged, priestly caste of India. Hold high posts everywhere- be it gorement, academic institutions or industry- but still feel wronged and ignored by reservation.
"These brahmins no, they keep denying the existence of caste, though they let any non-brahmin know within 5 minutes of meeting them how "brahmin" they are!"

Historically, the learned member of the population. Now, the one most affected by reservation, requiring 99.95% in an exam to think of applying anywhere. Also, if you thought all brahmins were the same, may lightning strike you sinner-there's Iyer, Iyengar, Madhava and oh so many more- the main difference being the day they celebrate all the Hindu festivals. This population is now almost extinct in India due to a huge exodus 'to do Higher Studies' in the US, mostly pertaining to the 'Software' field.
