A quintessentially Tamilian exclamation used to express many things: shock and surprise, awe, pain, even amusement. Depending on the tone of voice it could even suggest being impressed with someone or something, albeit in a somewhat bemused and patronising manner.

Usage

Jayashree: It was horrible! We got perm to stay in the forest rest house in Bandipur and they had mosquito nets and everything, but after I put my nightdress and all and was about to off the lights I saw there were some 100 cumbleeboochies inside the bloddy net yaa!
